5.1 What we can do

• Stop a company contacting you, immediately.
• Remove a company from Roomquoted.
• Correct or remove a price, and tell you what was wrong with it.
• Delete your project, your photo and your renders.
• Tell you exactly what we sent to a company, and when.

5.2 What we cannot do

• Decide who is right about workmanship. We have not seen the work and we are not inspectors.
• Order a refund, hold money, or release a deposit. We never hold your money.
• Enforce a contract we are not a party to.
• Make a company finish a job, or honour its warranty.

5.3 Where to go if we cannot fix it

Pointing you at a regulator is not us passing the problem along. These bodies have powers we do not.

• The licensing body for the trade in your area. A complaint against a licence is the strongest lever a homeowner has. Start from the registry links here.
• Canada: your provincial consumer protection office. In Ontario, file a consumer complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario.
• United States: your state attorney general or consumer protection office (in Florida, the Division of Consumer Services), and the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
• Better Business Bureau, for a public record of the dispute.
• About privacy specifically: the California Privacy Protection Agency or your state attorney general; the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; and in Quebec the Commission d'accès à l'information.

• Booking, scheduling or rescheduling your project. That is between you and the company.
• Negotiating a price for you. Companies show you their price; we do not act for either side.
• Design advice, permits, or telling you whether a wall can come out.
• Anything about a company you found somewhere other than Roomquoted.
